Why Replace Not Repair Smaller Pumps

Many hydraulic pump manufacturers are of the opinion that pumps should not have a single part repaired or replaced. Instead, all parts of the pump should be replaced or a new pump purchased. For this reason, many of these manufacturers don’t complete simple pump repairs and supply parts and pumps to smaller workshops. Contaminated Pump Replacing one part of a pump is not a proper fix. Sure, the pump will start working again, but it will most likely be short-lived. Once one part goes, the pump contains contaminated parts that all need replacing.
